A small cluttered space transformed into a chic and sophisticated bedroom.

This project was very special for our Creative Director, Mike, who lead the design.  Olive is Mike’s childhood friend from the Philippines, and her family treats him like an uncle.  Our project was to design a study room for Olive’s four children, ages 11 to 16.  Right away, our design team was welcomed warmly and we had fun in the process as Olive’s four children helped us out.  The children painted the insides of  their “cubby hole” lockers and assisting with furniture assembling which made them feel like they were a part of the design process!  The study room’s style is sophisticated with some fun elements such as bright patterns on the lounge chair and curtains, a sitting area with overstuffed pillows and Lucite coffee table, and (the best part) the built-in lockers for each kid.  This room can grow up with them but we also felt it was important to make sure items and surfaces were kid-proof and kid-friendly.  The main color palette is calming for study purposes but there is plenty of bright colors popping throughout the room for interest.  It was great to the delight when it was all done!  (Video is coming soon!)
