While traveling in Canada last summer, I ran across these waste disposal containers. They reminded me of the containers I've seen outside the entrances of numerous Whole Foods Markets. I appreciate what these containers are doing and teaching us to do as individuals. We should be separating our waste and trying to change our lifestyles toward being more conscious of what we throw away and how often. These containers remind me of my own lifestyle and choices and keep me under the impression that there are still organizations out there that separate the trash from the recyclables in order to have that much less waste get piled on top of those giant heaps at the dumps on the outskirts of our towns. Whether or not that's true, I don't know.

Ikea is coming out with a new line of fabric that I will definitely buy once it makes it to my Emeryville Ikea! It will be called the "Charlotta" collection. Out of things I love Ikea and Japanese culture are two of them. Ooooh, I know I'm in trouble. The fabric prints will mix "anime" styled characters with Scandinavian scenes or backgrounds. My first one to snag will be the 'Godzilla destroying famous Scandinavian buildings'.
